Wire is coiled around a piece of cardboard, which is covered with silk, and attached to this are two ordinary eyeglass snap chains, one fastened to the foot and furnishing the ground, while the other is affixed to a coil of wire in the hat and forms the aerial. A small bottle containing the necessary crystal, or rectifier, and a receiver complete the apparatus, which has undergone tests and proved practical.
